Bodo Sperlein (*1966 in Germany) is a London – based product designer and design consultant.
After studying at the Camberwell College of Arts, he founded his studio in the famous London OXO Tower in 2000. Sperlein’s repertoire includes commissions and collaborations in a wide range of spheres, from furniture to electronics, and from leading luxury brands to lesser-known specialties. His passion and his profound knowledge of materials, attention to key details, and aesthetic understanding regularly garner him awards and the appreciation of leading design publications. Sperlein has received multiple awards for his tableware collections, made in collaboration with star restaurants and chefs, and working with established manufacturers such as Lladró in Spain, Dibbern in Germany, Thomas Goode in England, Nymphenburg in Bavaria, and Nikko in Japan. More recently, Sperlein created “Script” for Lobmeyr, an innovative, highly acclaimed lighting series premiered at Maison & Objet in 2019.

Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation. Over 3000 designs in production, over 300 awards and working in over 40 countries attest to Karim’s legend of design. Karim’s diversity affords him the ability to cross-pollinate ideas, materials, behaviors, aesthetics from one typology to the next, crossing boundaries and broadening consumer horizons. His award winning designs include democratic objects such as the ubiquitous Garbo waste can and Oh Chair for Umbra, interiors such as the Morimoto restaurant, Philadelphia and Semiramis hotel, Athens and exhibitions for LG Hausys and Audi. Karim has collaborated with clients to create democratic design for Method and Dirt Devil, furniture for Artemide and Magis, brand identity for Citibank and Hyundai, high tech products for LaCie and Samsung, and luxury goods for Veuve Clicquot and Swarovski, to name a few. Lucie Koldova is an acclaimed Czech and international product and furniture designer. Her collaboration with Brokis began in 2010 with the iconic Muffins and Balloons lighting collections, which she designed while living and working in Paris. Holding the post of Brokis art director since 2014, she is the creative force behind the brand and is instrumental in shaping its product portfolio and image. In 2018, she was the first Czech designer invited to design the Das Haus installation for imm cologne, in which she showcased her Puro Sparkle, Ivy, Big One, and Jack O’Lantern lighting collections.
The voluminous glass lights embody her charismatic and uniquely elegant style and quickly established Brokis as an innovative producer of handblown glass lighting. In addition to developing increasingly novel and exciting concepts, Lucie Koldova has introduced important technological and formal solutions that have enabled Brokis to push the limits of handblown glass production.
